tea and biscuits

Born out of a sudden desire for Sunday afternoon tea, and with no eggs in the fridge for cake-making, yesterday we made biscuits. Loosely based on the Shortbread recipe in Breakfast Lunch Tea (great book!), with the addition of chopped up Green & Blacks chocolate and crystallised ginger. We made half the quantity which was plenty to satisfy our need with some left over for my morning coffee and the Working Man's lunch. Perfect, with lashings of Earl Grey tea and the penultimate episode of Doctor Who! ...C
