pitter patter

Still waiting for the pitter patter of the tiny feet of Newborn, now overdue. The wait is driving me slightly mad and to save my sanity, I'm working through all my odds and ends of yarn, churning out bootees. Thankfully for the Newborn's sartorial future, I've met lots of local mums-to-be and had lots of coffees with them already talking for hours about the kind of things only other pregnants could possibly be interested in, so I've had the perfect excuse to make half a dozen pairs - and even the opportunity to add in some pink!... Hi, I have just found your lovely blog and am fully intending to catch up on previous posts. The colours of the bootees are beautiful and have me wondering what they were originally used for. A Happy St Patricks Day to you! - jacqui x

Beautiful little bootees, you must be very popular with all the other Mums in waiting. Hope the lovely spring weather encourages Newborn to make an appearance soon.

I remember the waiting well and the first time around (when I was finally induced at 13 days overdue) was excruciating, I didn't even knit back then!

The bootees are gorgeous, you are making excellent use of your time and I will keep my fingers crossed for a lovely, peaceful labour any day soon.

Rest up! That babe will be here before you know it.

But if you're really impatient, a whole fresh pineapple did the trick for me!
